The projected 2016 Porsche Boxster Spyder specs have been released, and they are exhilarating. Set to release in October, this sports model will undoubtedly dominate the streets and the tracks, with equal vigor. Grappling with its roadster roots, the latest Boxster Spyder promises enhanced performance specs, the sleek, dynamic top, and thrilling, two-seater flair. From what Porsche tells us, this model will be spectacular in many other ways.

Sport-Level Speed and Skill

The specs will speak for themselves when it comes to skill and performance. With the suggested 3.8L flat-six engine, we are fully expecting 375 hp, with 309 lb-ft of torque for Porsche-grade precision. With this setup, the Boxster Spyder will brag a top track speed of 180 mph and an acceleration speed of 0-60 in a paltry 4.3 seconds. You’ll experience completely sport-tuned excitement with the switchable sport exhaust system. Porsche has suggested that this system will be specially designed with a twin-branch sport tailpipe, and produce a rich and intense sound as you ramp up speed.

Uninhibited Performance, Always

Porsche has teased a lot about the latest Boxster Spyder, and we have no reason to doubt they’ll follow through with ground-breaking new features and capabilities. An integral factor they have focused on, is that this model will perform superbly well under any conditions, on the street or track, and in the rain, snow, sleet, cloudiness, nighttime, and everything else imaginable. This means quite a lot for a sports model, where worrying about road conditions severely diminishes the hyped-up experience. What could be responsible for heightened handling and uninhibited performance? We’re thinking these projected features might have something to do with it:

  • Direct steering for responsive handling
  • Unique rear wheels that are two inches wider than the front ones
  • PTV with a mechanical rear differential lock
  • Porsche Stability Management
  • Optional Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes

Don’t Miss the Release of the 2016 Porsche Boxster Spyder

The 2016 Porsche Boxster Spyder specs projected so far lead us to believe this model will fit right into the already-astounding lineup, and bring new thrills and frills to the equation.
