About the Porsche 718 Boxster
Don’t spend time daydreaming about ‘what ifs’. Life’s simply too short. Combining the athletic spirit of a mid-engine roadster with stunning design, the Porsche 718 Boxster offers luxurious comfort paired with a race-inspired chassis setup. Beneath the hood lies a potent four-cylinder turbocharged engine that’s infused with the same race DNA that’s earned countless podium finishes – delivering a total of 300 horsepower. Razor-sharp handling is a signature characteristic of the 718 Boxster, made possible by its compact lightweight body construction, perfected center of gravity, and effortless power delivery.
In the upright position, the fabric convertible top of the 718 Boxster accentuates the sleek profile of a legendary sports car. Quintessential Porsche design elements include eye-catching edges, chiseled wheel arches, and elegantly defined contours. A driver-focused interior layout places you at the center of attention once you take a seat behind the wheel. You’ll have access to the most current iteration of Porsche Communication Management (PCM) featuring a 7-inch multi-touch screen for seamless connectivity. Choose from an extensive selection of personalization options to create a 718 Boxster that reflects your own unique personality.
What the Critics Say
“The Porsche 718 Boxster is a convertible sports car in the classical sense, which is to say it’s focused primarily on nimble handling and driver enjoyment. We wouldn’t want it any other way. Much of its allure comes from its mid-engine configuration, meaning the engine sits between the seats and rear wheels. This gives the 718 Boxster (and its fixed-roof 718 Cayman sibling) a handling balance prized by car enthusiasts.” – Edmunds
“The Porsche Boxster is an outstanding vehicle. There are two powerful turbocharged engines, both of which get pretty good gas mileage. Handling and ride quality are superb. The two-seat Boxster’s interior is replete with premium materials, and headroom and legroom are plentiful.” – U.S. News & World Report
Porsche 718 Boxster Features
You’ll have your choice of two proven turbocharged 4-cylinder engines, offering either 300 or 350 horsepower along with instantaneous acceleration. It takes just 4.4 seconds to rocket from 0-60 in the Porsche 718 Boxster S. Drivers can also choose from a smooth-shifting 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed PDK transmission that features a manual shift mode for lightning-fast gear changes with zero interruption in power delivery. The iconic Porsche exhaust note is an essential aspect of the 718 Boxster, giving you a fitting soundtrack as you rocket down the interstate. Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) is an optional system for enhancing driving dynamics and stability, helping to instill confidence behind the wheel.
Function and design are seamlessly linked inside the Porsche 718 Boxster. Its ergonomic Sport steering wheel, ascending center console, and three round instruments including the tachometer positioned in the center help create an environment that’s totally centered around the driving experience. Leather and Alcantara® upholstery help hold you firmly in place while thickly-bolstered Sport seats give you exceptional support during high-speed cornering maneuvers. The latest Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system features a 7-inch multitouch screen and optional navigation module to enhance form and function with a yet another component: virtually boundless possibilities.
In addition to its high-quality glass surface, Porsche Communication Management is an eye-catching complement to the center console.
