About the Porsche 718 Boxster

Don’t spend time daydreaming about ‘what ifs’. Life’s simply too short. Combining the athletic spirit of a mid-engine roadster with stunning design, the Porsche 718 Boxster offers luxurious comfort paired with a race-inspired chassis setup. Beneath the hood lies a potent four-cylinder turbocharged engine that’s infused with the same race DNA that’s earned countless podium finishes – delivering a total of 300 or 350 horsepower. Drivers can also select a naturally aspirated 6-cylinder for maximum performance on their 718 Boxster. Razor-sharp handling is a signature characteristic of the 718 Boxster, made possible by its compact lightweight body construction, a perfected center of gravity, and effortless power delivery.

In the upright position, the fabric convertible top of the 718 Boxster accentuates the sleek profile of a legendary sports car. Quintessential Porsche design elements include eye-catching edges, chiseled wheel arches, and elegantly defined contours. A driver-focused interior layout places you at the center of attention once you take a seat behind the wheel. You’ll have access to the most current iteration of Porsche Communication Management (PCM) featuring a 7-inch multi-touch screen for seamless connectivity. Choose from an extensive selection of personalization options to create a 718 Boxster that reflects your own unique personality.

What’s New for 2024

2024 brings with it a selection of important updates to the Porsche 718 Boxster lineup. Last year’s Boxster T variant has been phased out in favor of a new Boxster Style Edition model, touting a range of stylish design cues both inside and out. Style Edition models are also available with a new Ruby Star Neo exterior paint choice. Furthermore, the high-performance Spyder model has been discontinued in favor of a new Spyder RS model. The race-inspired Spyder RS is equipped with a muscular 4.0-liter flat-six that generates 493 horsepower.

What the Critics Say

“The Porsche 718 Boxster is a convertible sports car in the classical sense, which is to say it’s focused primarily on nimble handling and driver enjoyment. We wouldn’t want it any other way. Much of its allure comes from its mid-engine configuration, meaning the engine sits between the seats and rear wheels. This gives the 718 Boxster (and its fixed-roof 718 Cayman sibling) a handling balance prized by car enthusiasts.” – Edmunds

“The Porsche Boxster is an outstanding vehicle. There are two powerful turbocharged engines, both of which get pretty good gas mileage. Handling and ride quality are superb. The two-seat Boxster’s interior is replete with premium materials, and headroom and legroom are plentiful.” – U.S. News & World Report
